Question Where is the oil filter located in a 2003?

Where is the oil filter located in the 2003 grand am? It takes a paper oil filter, I already have. But I am embarrased to say I can't find it! The manual tells me nothing.

if tis the same as the 2000
crawl under the front and remove the plastic slash guard
and look up
its near impossible to see it from up to

i take it you have the ecotec engine.it is inside a housing under the intake manifold.too the right unscrew the cap from the housing and install the paper element.the cap is black plastic and requires a socket to remove it.
