Displacement, Displacement, Displacement..... it may be old but it is still a 5 liter engine and generally that is a loss for us.

Lightbulb there hope buddy

Hey dont race him off the line....ive raced many GTs and even the old 5.0s I have an auto and found out racing off the go, staring right at 2nd you will be neck and neck....when you hit 3rd unless u have some mods he will start to pull on you if you have a stick then u can probly hang with him a little longer.....just race him from 45....put your auto down in 2nd so u dont wast time for your car to down shift...and then hit the brakes at 80 when you shift into 3rd...... then just clam u dont wanna get a ticket.......I know its cheep but he will be shocked your even hanging threw 2nd....race him off the line and your toased unless u have some serious mods done....

Not necessarily..... I've got a NA 1.6L shitbox... and it hangs pretty well with larger displacement cars...

5.0 is a good race for 5 speed Maximas with some mods.
if your max is an auto..well..it's going to be little bit harder.
the new 4.6GTs are piss slow tho considering their engine size.

I never said it was about HP but DISPLACEMENT and I stand by that. Our Maxima engines can't develop that kind of off the line torque without mods.

This article my help:

In an October 1986 issue of Road & Track magazine, the Mustang GT edged-out the Camaro 5.7L IROC-Z in 0 to 60 times and Quarter mile speed. The GT sprinted to 60 MPH in just 6.7 seconds while the Camaro was ever so close at 6.8 seconds. Both cars reached the quarter mile in 15.3 seconds, but the GT's trap speed was 93.0 MPH

lol... the CRX surprises quite a few people (14.4 @ 98...all motor on 16's)

as for the 'stang's handling.... it's a rumor. Truth is, the '00 GT outhandled an Integra Type R on a Sport Compact Car test... one in which they were rooting for the teg. Go figure
