96 cavalier ABS light

My ABS light came on and will not reset.I checked all the sensors with a meter all ck good I swapped the abs relay no help,I cked the brake switch meters ok.I brought the car to the dealer and he scanned the system and said the ebcm was defective codes 1276 and 1278.I purchased the componenet and replaced it still have the same problem.Any ideas...............

You mean the BCM (Body Control Module).
Well he should have reset the fault codes in the ECM to clear it.

When the vehicle was brought to thr Chevy dealer he cleared what he said was 13 trouble codes,I assume most of these where caused by me pulling and checking connectors and sensors.Error code 1276 and 1278 kept coming back abd they said the ebcm or abs control module was defective.I paid 100 dollars for it at a local salvage yard....

Okay...so when you start the car the light comes on immiediatly? or some time later? Did you try to skid the car to see if the ABS still works?

Immediately abs light comes on and yes I tried many times to skid car ,the abs system is disabled .I also removed the positive lead on the battery and let it sit for at least 30 minutes all no help....

check the right front and left front ABS wheel speed sensor wiring harness for damage resulting in an open circuit. The wiring harness may be damaged a few inches above the connector so check carefully. That would do it

There are 2 sensors in the rear as well.Those could be bad too.
