strut bars

I wanna put some strut bars on my 92 prelude si just to give it a little more edge on turns. Are there any other things i need if im gonna get strut bars? And how hard are they to put on?

First off, strut bars won't help you out much. Upgrade or add front and rear (rear especially) SWAY bars and you'll be glad you spent a little more $$$ on something that will actually help, rather than something that will just look good under the hood and in your trunk.

In all honesty, strut bars are really a finishing touch thing. They help keep the body feeling more like one piece, but do little if anything for chassis strength and do NOTHING for body roll issues. Neuspeed makes some good bars for Preludes I hear.

Actually strut bars are functional, as we've discussed this on another board: http://forum.hondaclub.com.ph/index....53007#msg53007 There was also another post about a study on the effectiveness of strut bars, and the study came out in favor of it. I'll have to find that again. But yes, to get the most out of chassis strengthenng, it's a combination of strut and and ant-sway bars.

Not as functional as a sway bar or shock upgrade. People tend to overlook the obvious. You can have a great handling car with just aftermarket shocks with stock springs than stock shocks with aftermarket springs.

Or aftermarket shocks and springs. Koni yellow + Neuspeed Sports

Installation is easy enough. Take off two bolts on each side, put bar down, put bolts back on. But i gotta go with the stuff they said, sure they might do a little, but going with a rear sway is going to help a lot for your handling. Those mods above are both genius' when it comes to suspension and they do autocross. So take it from them, ditch the strut bar until you finish the shock/springs or rear sway first.
