G-Machine Cobra (newbe)

Hello,

Thx to many folks here and the FAQ I am trying this 99 Cobra R w/ custom rims and lowering. I have put models together before but I am still very new at this. I think I have done one completed model in the past.

The back rims will have the current off set shown the front will be just a little less off set than shown (half as less than the back).

I just wanted to see if anyone thinks the rims are too big.
I am serious not joking.

Thank you for checking it out.

This place is so helpful, you guys (I guess there might be one girl or two) are great.

I think that it looks equally as nice with the front rims the same width as the back. It looks more agressive, in my opinion.

me thinks you need to get rid of the ford engine and put an ls1 in there. Other then that it looks good.

The rims are awesome, this will be a sweet project! The lowering looks excellent. BTW, are in the Air Force? I can't help but notice the avatar.

Thx for the advice. I just may keep the same off set.

Ok CamaroSSBoy346, I have Z06 model to do also; I figure I practice first on dis here cobra hee hee

Here is the paint scheme. Two tone (no fade, but hard line).

The top will be gloss blk and the rest gloss orange, rims will be silver.
I was thinking about semi gloss black for top and blue bottom w/ silver rims or dark gray. What do you guys think? If I go w/ the blue and semi blk I was thinking about using the C.O.B.R.A (make decal) logo from GI-JOE and calling this car Cobra Commander.

Re: Re: Re: G-Machine Cobra (newbe)

IMHO, I think you should build a new school superstallion with the Super Stallion's paint, that'd be wicked.

Hi Double S

Those are the stock cobra rims with hoppin hydros outer brims.
I cut the center out w/ and exacto knife (Hyrdros) and then inserted the stock cobra rims. I have some putty fixin to do on the rims

There are two tutorials on on how to do this.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=107770

There is another thread about using Hydros or Pegasus brims (no center from factory) and then inserting your own. I couldn't find it.

I already had the Hydros so I cut the centers out my self.
