95 Park Ave ABS problem / window problem

Had ABS fixed at 56K miles last april after ABS and Antilock lights stayed on for 3 months. Car now has 69K on it and the lights are stuck on again. Anyone had similar problems? I need lots of ammo when I go in to get it fixed again, especially since it cost $1340.00 to get it fixed before!!!

Also----the driver's door window makes a buzzing sound when you open the window. Sounds like a nylon gear ratcheting against another. If you push up and down on it the window will finally go up or down. Is this an easy fix or do I need to go to a pro?

Thanks.

Well first of all you are SOL on the ABS it could be the same problem or a different one but you get a warranty on all parts and labor for 12 months or 12K miles and you are past that. What makes you think you have the same ABS problem afterall in 95 there were at least 30 different problems that could cause the light ot come on.

Thanks for the fast response. I'm thinking about disconnecting the lights instead of fixing it again. I just don't have anti-skid capability. Brakes work fine otherwise. Any thoughts on the window problem?

Jeez, only 30 different problems to cause the light to come one? Who engineered that? We have cars not space shuttles <G>. I'd yank the bulb. Never cared for ABS myself.

Re: 95 Park Ave ABS problem / window problem

My '91 PA has had the ABS light staying on for brief periods in the past, and now it appears it's going to stay on for good. Non-ABS braking works fine. I won't spend even a third of $1340 just to make the light go out. The least GM could have done with for a light that can come on for 30+ reasons is put some OBD codes with it that point you in one direction or another. (Oh, wait...this is GM we're talking about...the same outfit that has the PCM report a camshaft sensor code when you really need to replace the crankshaft sensor.) Precedent being what it is, maybe the ABS light doesn't indicate a brake issue at all...maybe I have a turn signal burnt out!?! Just a jab at GM in good fun--I like my Buicks, but the truth is that they stunk it up on the P341 code in their PCM firmware.
