Towbars and Undersealing

Has anyone had a Towbar fitted to a SGL3 - is there a kit that you can buy which works, or have you just gone to a Towbar fitter and left them to it?

Also have you had your Bongo undersealed -and how much does it cost?

Thanks

Richard

Towsure of Sheffield will sell you a DIY tow bar kit for £100. Quote part ref MZ463. This has been specially built for Mazda SGLs.

As regards undersealing, I had mine done in Poole for £120. It was a bit stinky, and I don't know how effective it will be. Ask me after they have chucked loads of salt on the roads.

Re: Towbars and Undersealing

Have a go at Waxoiling yourself Richard its dead easy, get the van up on ramps, and once your underneath the world is your oyster, There are rubber plugs down each side of the sills which you can pull out to fill, doors too, and the rest is easy, even if you spend half a day on it you will save yourself loads of dough! have a go.

Thumbs up Re: Towbars and Undersealing

How about a towbar for the SGL5? I have just spoken to my local Towsure who say they only have the SGL3 and SGL5 listed up to 1995. Does anyone know the serial number of the towbar I would need for an SGL5, 1996 onwards? They said they would use Watling.

Thanks.
