95 S-10 Clutch

Anyone know what could cause a clutch to occasionally fail? It seems that occasionally I have a really soft clutch, and at other times it's normal. I am assuming that there is air in the line, and have continuously been bleeding the line(Hydraulic clutch system). The entire system has been replaced from master cylinder to the plate. It worked fine for a while after being replaced, and just recently started to do this. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Mike

Re: 95 S-10 Clutch

have you replaced the clutch fork???? Sounds almost like it is bending the fingers on the pressure plate and causing your uneven clutch. Had problems on my 1995 s10 I eventually changed the transmission. Still having problems with mine eating throwout bearings......

Re: 95 S-10 Clutch

Sometimes a clutch could exhibit this behavior if extremely hot. Does this only occur after a great amount of shifting or shifting with an excessive amount of slip>
