Re: please help me

Man, I have been around rotaries a long time, and never heard of a hole being put in the block. Thats just wierd. For what its worth, the 89 TII is a series 5 FC. And its considered the more expensive of the two 2nd gen turbo models. But I would be VERY careful about this one. I hole in the block is unheard of.

Re: please help me

Well, lets see...

If it wont start, thats one thing. If it has a hole in the block, thats another. If the body is in mint shape, and you think you can talk him down, go for it. If you or someone you know has a compression tester, get the compression numbers. That tells everything.

Figure at least 1200-2000 dollars for a new motor if the motor is shot.

Sorry if I cant be more specific then that. Without pictures of the car, etc, I am just going on what I personally know.

Re: please help me

If the body is tight and the interior pretty good, even with a blown motor, $1000 isn't too bad. You could even prolly talk it down a bit. Since you can get a rebuilt engine for.. well not THAT cheap, but still, between 1200 and 2000 like J-rat said, that's a 2200-3000 dollar working T2. And T2's are a bitch to find.
