Can't open hood

I have a 95 Cabrio and went to open the hood the other day and can't pop it. I feel a bit of tension and can hear the cable up under the hood but to no avail.

Does anyone know how to jimmy the hood?

pull the cable, pop it, go outside and hit the hood with your hand. should pop it. it is probly stuck.. if not... take the cable out of the holder that you pull and try and pull it with plyers. it's either loose, stretched or frozen(rusted) when you DO get the hood open... put some WD-40 on the latch and mechinism. make sure it doesn't happen again.
