I have a 94 Ford Explorer. I get a check engine light when the engine heats up. If I let the car sit over night, the check engine light will be off. Usually comes on after starting and diving the car several times in a row. I have hooked up a scanner and get an error code of 214. Car seems to run ok both before and after the check engine light. What could be wrong??

Re: Ceck Engine Light
I had the light come one after driving for 50 miles straight...when I checked the code it said i had a bank running lean. I changed the fuel filter and cleaned the little wire sensors in the air intake. Your problem sounds similar to mine?!

Re: Ceck Engine Light
I don't think that my problem is the same, but maybe similar. I have an error code 214, "Cylinder identification circuit failure" . Don't know what that means. Probaly need to find out.
