andrew racing dish

i used the search function and did not find the answer to my question. i'm looking for the andrew racing dish with the wide lip. i have the aoshima ones but they do not come with the wide lip. as i understand it, the fujimi veilside andrew racing dish does not come with the wide lip either. so... here's the question... do any manufacturers produce them with the wider lip and tire or are they cannibalized from another kit to reproduce that look? any help would be appreciated.

Aoshima makes two versions of the Andrew Racing Dish. VIP Part No. 9, the one you probably have, has a thin lip (as seen below).

They also make a wide wheel version, VIP Part No. 36. The overall wheel on this version is wider, but I can't say with certainty that the dish is deeper. I've only see box pics of this version. These wheels also come with some kits in Aoshima's VIP Wide Fender series. All are very hard to find.

The easier route would be to get a lip off another Aoshima wheel, or do one of the deep-dish wheel methods in the How-To's.

Malsheem you are correct the vip set number 36 is the deep dish version.. The rears are the only ones that are deep though.. I dont have the normal one to compare the fronts but from the looks of your pic they are a tad bit deeper.. The set is also available in the veilside r32 kit.. Later Rick S
