Chalk up another cold air intake question from a noob.

For the last time, you're paying for the CARB authentication. This means that AEM has paid the rediculous amount of money to get their shit emission-tested to make them legal to have. Sure you could go buy some metal tube from an off-brand site and get the same exact performance for $40, but if you get pulled over and the cop has the nerve to check under your hood you could have your car impounded, and get some hefty fines.
