Question This might be a stupid question...

OK, I have a couple questions, please read.

I have a base model 1.8L 1992 eclipse that i bought for $100 a while back, i fixed it up very nicely if i do say so my self, with a little paint, some decient wheels and a new ecu it looks and runs great! I have put a k&n filter on it, and put a diesel fuel filter btwn the pcv and intake to keep the sludge from gettin in my motor and gutted the cats. Its surprisingly fun because of the extremely low gear ratios, but i was wondering if any of the aftermarket stuff for the 2.0 would fit it, such as a header, intake manifold, or with fuel management a whole head??? I have found that a $20 intake for a 5th gen prelude off ebay will fit it with just a couple inches chopped off the filter end of the pipe. But if anyone has any info on where to get some cost effective performance parts for my car please let me know.

This car is kinda my daily driver, i do have a TII rx7 that I did a s5 j-spec swap into this summer, i drive that when i want real fun!

Swap that base model for an AWD turbo model, and after a few mods it will be the other way around I do still miss my rx7 once in a while though...

The 2.0 non turbo head is the same as the turbo one, except for cams. I have a feeling you wont be so lucky on the 1.8 though, I seem to recall hearing that most of it is different. Unfortunately I cant offer any real info. I dont know a lot about the NT models.

I was really just hoping that maybe the holes for the exhaust and intake manifolds matched up. It would be really nice if they did.

I feel pretty confident that my TII can hang with alot of the gsx's out there I would definately like to have one though!

Re: This might be a stupid question...

Well, the 86-88 (s4) TII had about 185hp but the 89-91 (s5) had 200hp. The jap-spec s5 motor like the one i have made about 225hp and on top of that i have 3 gutted catalytic converters and none of the emmissions crap, no air pump, no a/c, a modded throttle body, a TurboXS dual stage boost controller, an HKS ssBOV, an apexi SAFC, 680cc secondary injectors (which isnt big enough) and a high flow fuel pump. Not to mention the s4 car was lighter than the s5 car and now i have the s5 motor which made more hp and is lighter than the s4 motor. Next is 3" custom single turbo back exhaust. For christmas i hope to get bigger injectors and a FMIC.

Still would like to know if 2.0 manifolds fit 1.8???

Do a search on www.DSMtalk.com and www.DSMtuners.com. This has been discussed for years now. I'd go do it for you, but I'm short on time.
