Angry airbag- airbag light????????

My airbag light has been on for about 3000 miles, on my 2000 jetta, I took it in to the dealer, they said they needed to replace the drivers side airbag, after they ordered the wrong one 3 times, I finally got it installed after 6 weeks, retards!! well the day they put it in the airbag the light came on, so I guess Im going back in again untill they fix it right, has anyone else had this problem thanks?

Re: airbag- airbag light????????

Was this covered under warranty? Using common sense I would think not, so how much did this repair cost you?

Yeah It was actually covered under warranty, I think since it was setting the airbag light off, they covered it, even though it wasnt actually the airbag! Since it was covered I never got a total price on how much $ it cost. but I would estimate, since It took them about 3 hours and two trips to the dealer to find the problem, and about another hour to finish the job, and diagnosis at this particular dealership is $90 an hour $360 in labor, and for the clock spring who knows?? But I got a new airbag module out of it, even though the old was ok, dang I wish I could have kept it, they are going for big $$$ on ebay. O well!!
