Just had a system installed in the trunk of my 92 continental (jbl1200watt amp, 2 15alpine subs). Drove away from CircuitCity and my car cut off and wont start. Had it towed and dealership says in rares circumstances larger stereo systems have been known to set off a crash sensor which cuts off the gasoline to the engine. Anyone else ever hear of this happening before and how to fix it?!

was shown switch in trunk that resets the sensor, very simple. the sensor is only triggered when im showing off my system with songs with really low bass. i got sick of having 2 reset so i just jumpered the wires 2gether
seems 2 work pretty good

Re: bass triggers crash sensor?
u need to run lead wire straight from ur battery and have an independent iso switch same thing happened in mine
which means ur system is grounding somewhere apart from the power terminals so put ur amp on some non conductive material and hopefully that should solver the problem |
