200 ls1..where is crash sensor in front?

i just bought this car 2 weeks ago and found out it has been wrecked. twice. i dont see the crash sensor through the front bumper like most vehicles. usually there is a little black box.. is this one in the bumper? if the air bags go off in an accident, dont they usually say its done for. there is no damage disclosure on the title. also when its been wrecked and they rebuild it don't they have to put the airbag sensors back to normal? also on the carfax i pulled. after the accident it was taken to the auction right away. so that tells me the insurance company took the car and sold it. if it was that bad that they took it, shouldn't it be totaled?
