1995 325is blower resistor
If you have a blower fan that only works in the 4 position, the resistor needs replacing. I bought the resistor, have a service manual but CANNOT find the ^$#&#ing old resistor.
The manual says it's behind the glove box. I removed it and nothing there that looks like the resistor. Any help out here? |

For what it's worth, the resistor will be located in/on the Heat/AC duct work so the air stream can cool the resistors at lower fan speeds. Access to the one on my E30 was from the engine compartment. That may or may not be of any help on your 95 model.

I found the blasted thing. It is accessed from the driver's side of the car. You need to remove the kick panel under the steering wheel. (couple of screws) . You can see it behind the center console but you have to get your head under the dash.
It is not to be accessed from behind the Glove compartment. Maybe that the case for RIGHT mounted steering wheel but no in the USA. Once you find it yank out the old one & replace it with the new. |
