Thumbs down Dodge 3.0

Those who have 3.0 engines better test their engine when warm. Unplug wire to oil sensor. If it stop engine you are OK. If it does not stop you are heading for burn & lockup engine like I did with no warning. The sensors is suppose to cut off engine fuel injectors when no oil.

Re: Dodge 3.0

Good info but too late in my case. My daughter already blew the motor in the 89' Grand Caravan I gave her. Her friend did an oil change for her and stripped the new pan plug I put in 2 months earlier. He also used a hammer and screw driver to remove the filter instead of one of the three oil filter wrenches in the garage. Dumb kid!

If the sensor is faulty then is that all you have to replace, or is there more to it? Thanks for the info, cant afford any more problems with mine, especially killing the engine.
