what is the rwhp of a 2004 mustang???

what is the rwhp of a 2004 V6 mustang??? My friend has one and is wondering, don't know where to look for its dyno graphs. Also if anyone knows what the rwhp of a V6 1995 Pontaic Firebird also let me know. Just want to put my riceboy friends to rest on their stupid efficient civics (who wants efficiency when it's slower than scooters)

im not sure whether factory states rwhp or flywheel but it is 193 hp @5200 rpm 225 lb-ft @2800 rpm with a curb weight of 3066lbs,
trans am is 160 hp @4600 rpm 200 lb-ft @ 3600 rpm with a curb weight of 3521 lbs.
if this is flywheel not rwhp estimate a 20% loss through drivetrain

Re: what is the rwhp of a 2004 mustang???

They should be BHP ratings not RWHP ratings. So assuming that 193 BHP is correct then RWHP should be 162.12 hp after 16% in frictional loss.

I agree that the argument of efficiency doesn't make any sense. If the cars are in complete stock trim, they may get high fuel mileage. However, if they try to start squeezing horsepower out of the engine, then their fuel economy will decrease. Where do they think the extra power comes from? Magic Pixy Dust?

^ I wouldn't be surprised, they do think stickers, big wings, and loud bumble-bee mufflers make their cars faster. I had a civic as my first car (parents bought it so i had no choice), but I didn't do anything to it, just kept it the way it was (no point in trying to make a crappy car less crappy, it'll always be crappy) until i afforded a nissan 240sx.
