84 ram charger new set of problems please help

solved my firing problems{wouldn't fire} now......................
drove 2 days about 10miles round. when i got back turned off and trrried to restart nothing . no turnover[like battery had no juice.
I have replaced battery about 2weeks ago. getting 12v across post.
took neg term off. and tested from post to term.{lneg.} as book said.
you were supposed to use light which i didn't have so I used my multimeter on volts. it said if u get light oon when tested either alternator or short. I disconneted alt. and did test again. still had the volt drop{about 11 v} next it said to check each fuse and see which onechanged it. I did find one that put it down to 4 volts when removed.
if i did the test right i may be on to somedthing. also I pulled starter to get tested haven't done yet at auto zone. any ideas??????????
