Am I pushin my luck???

Incident #1: Doin 60 in a 35 zone, cop with a rader pointed at the street...I pass by and he gets behind me with his lights on, I go for a left to pull over and off the cop goes pulling some-one ELSE over...I guess he thaught someone else was doin 60.

Incident#2: Cruising with my buddy a day after he got his sweet 02 Sentra SE-R. My friend tells me he wants to go mess around with his car by the college parking lot. So we go, I pull to the side and my friend starts doing big circles while screeching his tires, I get in the mood (like an idiot) and go for it too. Upon heading out, a cop gets behind me and follos me for a while but does'nt pull em over when we both know what I was doing. The cop did'nt see my friend doing anything becasue my friend stopped his foolishness then I started, and the cop only noticed ME.

Incident#3: I'm following the directions my friend gave me a while ago for a nice canyon road..."head down this street, make a right on this street". So I was going down the street I was supposed to be going down and waiting for the cross-street. I see the street I'm supposed to be making a left on, but notice theres no road going to the left, only to the right...I realised I came from the wrong side and I was supposed to make a left, so I cut three lanes with no turn signal with a cop behind me. The cop follows me for a good 10 minutes but does nothing.

Incident#4: doing 50 in a 35 zone, cop with lights gets behind me, I pull over and the cop continues going on the road...scared the $hit out of me.

Is this all freakin luck?!?!

If all this is true, you have all the luck on your side. Anytime a cop gets behind me like that, it's all over... few minutes later I'm signing the back of a speeding ticket. I wish I had your luck! Just becareful... it could eventually run out one of these days...

Just remember this, sooner or later your luck will run out.

Stop pushing your luck before it runs out.

in parking lots, if u aren't endangering anyone, i'm pretty sure they can't do n e thing but make u leave, and that's only if the owner/ staff or residents around the parking lot complain. but i'm not sure... check you city's laws first...

I think you’ve pushed it about as far as you can. You shouldn’t be hitting 50+ in a 35 anyway. Its posted that low because there are homes or businesses there.

My brother-in-law got a ticket for doing donuts in a parking lot, it was for reckless endangerment in an area of public access.

I hate you

seriously, i get pulled over for NOTHING, they make something up just so they car search my car and give me tickets.

What was said "Uh.....you didnt leave your turn signal on for a full 3 seconds while switching lanes. I need to see your trunk."

Tranlation "Your bright yellow car distracted me from eating and sleeping in my cruiser. Now i want to harrass you because your car cost more than i get paid in a year. Open your trunk, i need to give you a bogus ticket that i cant back up in court so i can meet my quota."

Consider your self lucky.

I know the feeling. I've been pushing it lately too, but that just might be because of how i handle it.

first time: headlights weren't on, first time ever pulled over and i guess it showed. The cop shined the light onto my driver side mirror therefore shining it in my eye, seeing how that's all i could see and didn't like it, i move the mirror so the light shined elsewhere. Not to piss him off or anything, i was just scared crazy and was fumbling for everything, he let me off, no biggy.

Second: illegal tail lights and white turn signal bulbs, told the cop where i work, and even though he was good 'ol CHP, he let me off after asking me a couple questions about my work.

Third: sitting at red left hand turn light, went and made a right hand turn on red light. The cop who was no more than a year older than me (20) asked me a couple questions and asked me for advice on what other local cities paid their officers, and where i was planning on going.

fourth: the biggey, caught going 70mph in a 45 in my small city. After a few questions that convinced me i was in deep trouble, i had a 10 minute talk with the cop about where i should go to further my career when i get older and how he got started. his line: "if you're gonna be a cop, you don't need tickets like this."

I work for a law firm that represents a bunch of different cities; basically the City Attorney's personal law firm. That got me out of number 2 and 3 because they happened in the cities we represent, wanting to become a cop and majoring in Criminal Justice and asking questions to the guy that pulled me over got me out of number 4. Oh yeah, and i've gotten out of 2 parking tickets with a simple phone call and i'm able to do the same for people i know around here. Just the perks of a $12/hr with no taxes job.
Ok now i feel bad for gloating.

You're pushing your luck man, you might have just caught them in a good or lazy mood. Better be a law abiding citizen.
