Integra Torque, HP....help

After picking up the 95 LS Integra (AUTO) from my old 96 Maxima, i figured these integras are very slow, i guess its the 4 cylinders. I'll try not to sound if i know alot, but i'll post everything based on what i heard and what i know.
I feel these integras have no power at all, everyday i have to going up across this bridge to work, and it seems that i step on the gas all the way and it takes forever to change to another gear, and the rpm stays there doesnt go up and the speed maintains at 50-55 while other cars passing me, until i going down the hill and it starting to go fast, its a very gentle hill btw. (could be the wind)

I've heard all honda cars are lack of torque, if thats whats causing it. anyway, whats the difference between Horsepowers and Torque? cuz i know eventho i snap a turbo on it, it'll still be the same when climbing that bridge. My old Maxima would never have that kinda problem, it goes up to 80mph even with two people sitting on it. My main concern is what is the cheapest way to resolve the problem, or there is none. I really dont want to swap the engine or anything like that, i rather save the money and get myself another stronger car. i just wanna make the car run stronger for a reasonable amount of money. matter of fact, if i could choose again, i would've go with the Maximas(crashed), too bad the look of the integras fooled me.

Man your crazy When my 99 Civic EX was stock I could go uphill in 4th at say 50 and make it to 60 before I reached the top no problem. You just said that you were going 50 something on a bridge(usually flat surface) and couldnt get above 55 before you reached the end with the pedal to the floor? I know an LS has more hp and a lot more torque than my car so there is no reason you should be having that problem. Unless your having engine problems, the bridge is REALLY freaking short, or your just lieing

P.S. Hondas/Acuras have high rpm engines that produce decent torque through the whole rpm range so you shouldn't have to get into the 7000 or 8000 rpm range before you feel the car pull.

with your teg you wont reach your max power until 6300 rpm or your max torque until around 5200 (?)... with an auto it's a little harder to realize the power you have and your probably running 2500-3000rpm?... i know even with a stick the cars slow until you start working the gearbox.

Torque is an actual, measurable, value. Horsepower is a theoretically calculated value.
Horsepower = (Torque x R.P.M.) / 5252
Torque is usually proportional to an engine's displacement. More displacement = more torque. Maxima has 3 Liters ( I think? ) and the Integra has 1.8 Liters ( I think? ).

my friend has a 97 integra ls auto and i think its fast! way good for
an auto. but if u want mor power u need to trade it in and get a manual
ls, or if your looking for alot more power get the gsr. but if your content w/ your ls auto just buy some bolt ons. and you'll be fine.
