Does anyone know of a parts kit or a step by step set of instructions for converting rear drum brakes to disc brakes on a 2000 cavalier? Any info can help... Thanks.

Thanks, they do have a nice kit... less expensive than I thought.
One more question... 16" Aluminum Rims off a 95 Sebring 2 door, would these fit on a 2000 Cavalier 2 door? Are there different 5 bolt patterns out there or all 5 bolt patterns are exactly the same - for small cars... Could the rims be too wide (not diameter, the other dimension) for the Cavalier... I know I would have to get lower profile tires but will I be able to steer decently without rubbing the tires on the wheel well? Thanks. |

no, there are different 5 bolt sizes, the cavalier has a 5 X 100mm. so, if that wheel is 5X100 then it'll fit...

Re: 2000 cavalier - convert rear drum brakes to disc brakes
you should be measuring the distance of the lug holes not the rim. If the rims are indeed 5x100mm you then also have to worry about the offset of the rims. If the offset of the new rims are not correct you will not only potentally rub the inner strut but the outter wheel well. If the offset is not right you will also have problems with your wheel bearings not so far in the distance future, it will wear them out and not only will you have to replace the spindal but you potentally are risking your life with acctuall wheel seperation. I suggest that you call a pro and ask them the correct offset for you app. of your Sebring rims and if you can acctully use them on the cav.
