Lighted Decals

Has anyone seen any lighted decals? I've caught a glimpse of one saying, "powered by acura" on one of his side windows. Looked sweet.

I have seen them before. I saw a windsheild baner like that, and one for the side window. Only one shop around here carries em, and there not cheap, at least compared to what a regualar decal would be. I personally don't care for them, think it's kinda cheesy, but I have seen them before. I do believe they are also illegal too have on while the car is be driven. Speaking of lighted things, I've seen Electro-Luminesent Door Sill Plates before too. My opinion on those is the same as of lighted decals.

Does it say "I can destroy your riding lawnmower in the 1/4"?

Look, I think the point Ricochet is making is that there is better ways to spend your money than a "custom desinged lighted decal" made at no extra charge. You still had to spend $$ on it. Too many ppl slap decals on there car, and think it's cool. Yea, I have a few shop decals on my car, but they were all in return for something. They did me favors, so I put the decal on for them, etc. They sre not on "becuase it's cool." Hell, I could car less if they come off. I did it as a favor, and it didn't cost me a dime? But lighted decals? Oh jeez, please....get a life.I mean, WFT??? My decal is lighted and custom designed..so now my car rocks....I mean, swap a motor, build your up, put in FI, install a performance suspension. Do something. If you are obsessed with body mods, get a body or lip kit, custom paint, suicide doors, shave the handles...do something. The point is, there is no such thing as "visual horsepower." All those lighted decals do is look ricey. If you want to put those on your car, we can't stop you. But expect to here are opinions if you ask. Lighted Decals are stupid. Paying fpor a decal is dumb. The 2 windsheild banners on my car were free. As a said, a favor to someone. I wouldn't pay for that shit. To boot, they made up the decals for me custom, in a color skeem that matched my car. Does that make me specical? Hell no...I put them on as a favor, but only under the condtion the decals blended in with the color skeem of my vehicle. I didn'r need or want that shit to stand out...and it doesn't. I would never put a lighted one on, even if it were free. So take your lighted decal ass, and put your money into that. Maybe that "Visaul Horsepower" it adds will help you take out Ricochet's true Type-R motor in the 1/4 mile....Jeez.....

Why are you trying to justify the use of decals to us? Feeling a little insecure are we? I think you guys have way too much time on your hands, writing long stories and drawing graphs "Jeez"......

Ok Noob, listen up. If you wanna qoute me, use the "reply with quote" function...see above, how I did it....just like that....secondly, not insecure...look, I DESPIES DECALS ON CARS...PERIOD...IF YOUR NOT AN ACTUAL RACE CAR, GET THEM OFF. The reason I justify it is just that. I am not a race car, so if I have any on my car, they bettrer damn well HAVE A REASON to be on there. They do. Since you ask, I'll give you the reasons. 1) A shop owned buy a guy I know paid my entry fee to a show if I would park with them. In return, I had to have a decal of their shop on the windsheild. Fair enough. He's paying the fee, why not. He's done me ton's of favors. He paid the fricken show entry fee. See, a purpose for that one. 2) My buddies who onw a shop swaped in a motor for me, put on a free CAI, and did it for CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN ANYONE ELSE. Again, Why not put it on. They custom made it for free, they gave me freebies, I'll give them one. A 3rd might go on as part of a partial sponsership by a company. It's in the agreement I have to sign for the partial sponsership. Again, PURPOSE. I am not just putting them on for fun. Before you go calling us insecure, realize this. Most of the time, decals go on to look "cool." I would not put decals on the car unless I had a damn good reason. Custom making a lighted Vtec decal serves no purpose, is part of no contract, and is not in exchange for anything done by you. It's just because it "looks good." That's the difference between me and you. Mine are there because they had to be as part of an argeement or in return for something. Yours are there to look cool. That's not justifying, thats fact.

I can show you a pic this weekend, all the pics of my car are on my girls computer. I typically don't show people I don't know pics of my car, thats why I have none on disc, but I suppose it's okay. Can I ask where you are from?
