if you want the same speed, just get intake, and exaust, you'll run the speed as the 2nd gen, but if you want to completly transform the 1st gen into the 2nd then, hell i don't know.
the bodys diff, it weighs less, boost is higher, etc....

The externals would be the easier part. The body panels pretty much directly fit on the car the same way. You'll have to pick the year you really like for the look of the headlights and foglights though. They are different between the models between 94 and 95. The spoiler also has two different varieties between the 94-96 and 97-98.

As already said, you can get the same power out of the first generation car as the second, but aside from that you'll spend a bundle mating up a six-speed transmission in place of the five you have. The engine block is also put togeter slightly different from the 92+ years.

Stick with the engine mods YoungVR4 said and take a look at swapping around the body panels.

It's not worth the trouble trust me man i modify cars for a living, all the money for part the labor and the time , just sell yours and find a 97 or 98 for sale you will save your self a lot of trouble its your best way to go instead of doing a trans swap and even a engine swap which you should just get a newer one
