need help cutting springs

hey there, I have an 86 shelby charger with coils all around. noboby makes aftermarket springs or coil overs for my car, and was wondering if anyone could tell me how to cut them or construct a set of coil overs for my car, I already asked on the domestic side with no response and was hoping some of you might be able to help me out!

I really wouldn't recommend cutting springs. It might be better to look for a lowering spring that's closest to your spring's profile. That will take much trial and error, but I would think it might be better than cutting the springs.

Re: need help cutting springs

Cuttings springs is OK, if done properly, heating is the worth thing. If your asking for help on cutting springs, I highly suggest you do not attempt yourself. Take it to a well-known performance shop in your area or contact Eibach & H&R or whatever brand you think of.
