I just purchased a 97 318ti. I want to get rid of the stock cassette player and install a CD player. I was told by the Goodguys installation crew that I could run into problems as the car may be equipped with a stock amplifier. I was told I would have to rewire all of the speakers to bypass this. I don't look forward to this as there appears to be approximately 10 speakers! Is this true? Or, can I just plug the new CD player into the wiring harness via an adapter, and live happily ever after? Your help is appreciated.

Does your car have the HK system? If not, just buy the adapter hook it up and plug up your radio.
