3 series naming breakdown

Hey guys, new to the BMW portion of AF. Was wondering what the naming breakdown of the BMW 3 series is and what each means. (I.e. I, CI, E, Es) THanks

Here's what I know. I hope this helps:

i - sedan
C - Coupe/Convertible
x - All Wheel Drive
s - I think this used to be for "sport package"
E - these are the designations in Europe. Somone can probably list how the E designations correspond to the US's year/model naming scheme.
