Cool Progress thread...Tamiya 350Z w/SAS Nismo kit and 23's

Here's where I'm at w/my 350Z Nismo. The body modifications were a breeze, the resin fit very well once I cut the original pieces off. In primer now, needs a couple of touch ups and one pinhole filled prior to paint.

The rims are Pegasus Allantes w/Pegasus 23" aluminum sleeves. I just had to shorten the axle retainers a bit, and shorten one of the Tamiya metal axles...pretty painless wheel swap, the Pegasus rims readily accept the Tamiya axle as if they were made for each other. I added Studio 27 photoetched rotor detail so far, and have pretty much built the chassis and painted it. This model will be Tamiya Lime Green Pearl (Kawasaki color).

Ready for the Studio 27 wheel centercap details...

Hope you enjoy.
I'm working to get this one done by next weekend, hopefully much sooner!

Cool, you know I love 350Z's
Is the Bodykit going to be the same colour as the body work or black/grey ?

Re: Progress thread...Tamiya 350Z w/SAS Nismo kit and 23's

nice colour choice. I was planning to do a 300 TT(got yesterday at lhs) in dodge sublime green. Keep us posted, those wheels will go nicely with that color.

You've certainly applied a different approach to basic modifications. I'm sure it'll look great.

Thanks for the comments so far.

In the meantime I've dry-fit the lenses and glass, and cleaned up the primer and panel lines and have applied the first coats of the Tamiya Lime Green Pearl. After this I'll lightly scuff the paint w/3600 grit, do the panel lines w/a black pen, and reapply a few mist coats of green and then clear. The interior will be black w/some lime green accents. I've already tinted the harnesses in lime green.
