silverado system
I'm looking at getting a system for my 2002 regular cab silverado. I know nothing about systems so I'm looking for some advice. What's a good setup to have? I don't want to spend over $600 on it probably. I already have a JVC headunit. I'm just looking for something that sounds real good, and a little bit of bass if I can.

Re: silverado system
I can hook you up with 2 audiobahn 15s that do 800 rms each in a sealed box that will probably fit well in your cab or so. That is if they aren't sold yet.

I'm looking more for advice right now rather than buying anything.

Re: silverado system
It sounds like you're more SQ oriented than SPL. An ed O series would probably work nicely, mated to a 500rms or so amp. For your front stage you will definately want to amp them. Power depends on the set you go with, but I would look for something that does around 100-125x2. Focal, Crystal, and CDT are some good brands to check out for components. The JL XR components are also very good. You most likely will not need rear speakers. If you get a good front stage and some decent power (100+) to each then you won't even be able to tell the rear speakers are back there. They will just make your system cost more.
Unfortunately, for what I listed it will be more like $900, but you can always sacrafice a little here and there (ed K series instead of the O, for example)

Re: silverado system
I've decided to just replace the factory speakers. Which type of speakers are the best, and are relatively cheap?

Re: silverado system
Like Sr20 said, focal, crystal, CDT are great. I would add to it either mb quart, infinity, or boston. Ignore what lewd said I have to say pioneer makes some sick speakers, so sick you could die hearing them.
