Any ideas on how to turn off the ABS light on the dash?
It that seems to stay on, sometimes it goes off. I had the brakes serviced the guy told me the brakes are fine and I should take it to the dealer to get them to fix the light. I need to get this car inspected and they won't pass it if the light is on. |

Re: ABS light won't turn off
Other than taking out the bulb. You'll need to have someone pull codes to see why the light is on.

My 96 Taurus did this and I found a blown 30 amp fuse for the anti-lock system in the fuse box located under the hood. After replacing the fuse the light went out and the anti-locks have been working for over several years now without that problem. I don't know why the fuse blew though. Good Luck, |

Re: ABS light won't turn off
using a digital voltmeter(to 3 decimal points)set to milivolts, you can read the voltage change across the terminals of each wheel sensor at the disconnected connector when you rotate wheel
(you have to know what you are doing) |
