99 Alarm Issues
I think the problem stems back to my 56036859AC Transmitter. Sometimes it does not want to lock the doors. Unlock usually seems to work. Have replaced batteries to no avail.
Main problem is I managed to set off the alarm (panic button), and could not get it shut off. Ended up doing some combination of key pressed (on transmitter) while opening and closing the driver's door. It was very frustrating, and even more embarrassing. Any ideas? I've read some TSB's that talk about radio signals, I do work at a radio station, but I have this problem everywhere I go. Also heard I can get the transmitter replaced? thx |

Got the new transmitter today...AD transmitter. Same problems. I do work in radio, so I'm near a tower. But even at home sometimes it just won't lock. Unlock seems to be a little more reliable, but not much.
Anyone? |

I heard the stock alarm couldn't be turned off, or something to that effect. I'd prefer to have remote start capabilities...how much do you figure I'll have in a new alarm/keyless entry/remote start, installed? |

Oh, it's just one wire you need to hook up inorder to kill the factory alarm. Unless you live in a high crime area, just get a remote start with out an alarm. Those run about $300 or less depending what you pick out. |
