99 Yukon alarm issues, how do I remove OEM alarm?
I have problems with my car right now. One of the door switches is bad which is causing my alarm to go off randonly, so now I have to lock it manually every time. Is there any way to remove or unplug the factory alarm so I can use my keyless entry again? I just want to take the damn thing off so I can use the remote to lock my car without setting the alarm.

It is most likely the drivers door switch. I had to replace my driver door switch last week because the light would fail to come on when opening. It was about 7 bucks at the dealer.
I don't have an alarm, At least I don't think. I bought it used and there is a red light (like used on alarm systems) on the dash panel behind the turn signal lever. I asked the previous owner and he didn't know. He bought it as a end of lease turn in and only had it a couple of months and decided it was to big for him. |
