Tamiya Nissan 300ZX Progress...

I actually started this project a while ago and i told myself i would take pics but it went by so fast. im almost done. i just need to add a few more top coats and i have to finish interior.

body's orange-peeled so i gotta spray a couple more coats.

yes thats Alclad II on the intake

the driver seat is a spare from my brother's FATF Supra. the interior is gonna be 2-tone, but i dont know if i should go with red and white or red and black.

this is the setup im hoping for in the trunk. The amps are from the supra and the woofers and nitrous are from my brother's diecast supra.

i dont really like the stock mufflers and tips, so...

im working on some catback exhausts. (the grey stuff is putty)

i dont know if i should make these altezza style or if i should paint them red and orange.

Looks like a cool project. I really like the pink too. Its different, but suits the car well.

You forget R1C3 B0!, I hardly build japanese kits, and I wouldn't recognize the turbo setup on a 300 considering I've never built nor owned one.

So, how're you going to plumb the nitrous setup and scratchbuild fogger nozzles for the intake runners?

I like the idea of the interior you have now Kasso, But IMO a nice Silver/Flat Red Combo would look damn good or even Flat Sea Blue and Flat red... Which ever one you choose will look nice, And i like the way you have the rear of the interior setup....

Cool setup. Don't be offended, but I wanted to make sure those nitrous bottles will actually feed nitrous to the engine.

Other wise I like the car. It's very clean and the suspension work you've done is good. I'd like to see some slightly better detailed brakes, not saying full lines and fittings are necessary, but those rotors and calipers look pretty non-descript.

As for the interior, the color scheme you originally hit upon would've looked good (red and black would have been my choice, if you care to know) but the driver's seat you've chosen is not going to cut it on a detailed model. Quite frankly, the molded in harnesses need to be removed and the shape looks entirely out of place next to the stock passenger's seat. Basically, between the sound system and the nitrous, you've really turned it into more of a boulevard car as opposed to a weekend warrior. I'd really suggest tracking down some heavily bolstered Recaro style seats to take the place of the pair in the interior right now.

Perry's Resin carries this line of resin seats for $5 a pair. Surely they'll do better than AMT Supra toss offs, right?

Re: Tamiya Nissan 300ZX Progress...

yes i am planning to actually feed the nitrous. i really do need to get some epoxy putty though. for some reason, my LHS doesnt carry it any more. i have to get it form HLJ. whats better - 113g of Milliput or 25g of Tamiya smooth putty?

also, does anyone have a reference picture of how brake lines look on a car? i've never really seen any.
