Engine Detail?

Does anybody know what you can use for engine detail, like vaccum hoses, wires, etc?

Detail Master has a ton of stuff, basically, if you want it to make your motor as realistic as possible, there's stuff out there to do it

It all depends on what kind of an engine you are trying to build v. what aftermarket items you are looking for.

A lot of engine pieces can be scratchbuilt and a lot of aluminum pieces are available from companies like detail master, sakatsu, model car garage and others. In fact entire resin engines with all the extras available from Gobson Motors (through detail master).

Wiring can be bought through these model supply stores or through your local Radio Shack. YES, Radio shack carries wire bundles in every color and every width, by the bundle.... cheap

Japanese and German engines are more difficult to detail mainly due to lack of parts available, but still possible using scratch built methods.

For engine details, I use regular styrene in various forms, craft wire, wire from Radio Shack, solder, etc. Go to your local department store and purchase "flower stems" in the craft section. They come in various sizes for cheap! Don't forget to buy a pin vise, and bits to drill holes for your wires!
