Do you mean converting the car to obdII? If you just mean swaping in an obdII motor it can be done really easy...I just put one into my boys rex and the only problem we ran across was getting the radiator fan to come on.

I mean swapping the engine in. I mean some peeps are telling me you have to switch it over to OBDI. But I thought you could just use the 96+ engine wiring harness and ecu!??

you could convert the car to OBD1 and then get an OBD1->OBD2 conversion harness.. i belive they can be had. I know that with an OBD2 car you can convert to OBD1 with a harness, so the wiring is the same..

If you went the route of swapping the entire electrical harness out of the car, sure the engine would work as would the ECU, but then you'd come acorss the problem of all the headlight/tailight dash wiring would be different.

Why not just keep your car Pre OBD? Do you really need to go OBDI? Usually the bonus of doing that is if you live in California, where emissions laws are tough to get around.

OBDI is overated.

Yes, you can stay OBD0. I assume its a b series swap? Just a fwi though, only the 90/91 teg is OBD0.
