I need Serious Help

Hey i am a newbie to car stereo. ok here is my problem. my system got stolen on saturday i had a clarion 925vrxd system with two 7 in widescreen monitors in the back. sucks that it was stolen but oh well. my problem i am trying to install the stock radio back in. i have a 99 chevy suburban. so it is a delco electronic radio. my problem is that the radio wont turn on. only when i press the recall button will it tell me the time. i have ran a dmm and found out that the 12v switched power is not turning on when i turn my car on. everything else works but that. i had my old system professional installed and i am woundering if they did anything. i didnt see no spliced wires or anything. any help would be appreciated.. thanks

Jeff

Re: I need Serious Help

it's possible that the theives just ripped out the headunit and the +12 wire came in contact with the ground and blew a fuse. This happened to a friend of mine, just check the fuses and I'm sure you'll find the blown one.

Re: I need Serious Help

you can get locking screws for your headunit and speakers

many cars have a locking feature on the trunk where the only way to get into it is with the key, it basically disables the trunk release inside the car.
