I have a 2000 civic ex, i want to put in a b16a2....according to california emission laws. Can i put in a JDM b16a2 of the same year in my EX and still be smog legal, or do i have to go with USDM???? If i can do JDM what do i have to do to make it SMOG LEGAL?!

i would go usdm jsut to make it easier, but if you do go jdm, you need all the usdm emissions parts which is usually easier cause you would get some of the isdm ones with the engine if not all of em.

well there are no b16 2nd gen in jdm land. the b16a2 you can get is usdm only from 99-00 si's
You can pass smog with jdm motors but wont pass referee Cali law says you have to drop motor same year or newer than your car. |
