I'm just asking for help or a point in the right direction if ne one knows what i would need. I found someone selling a 90 gs turbo and i wanted to buy it so i could put the turbo system in my 92 eclipse gs. I know they both are the 4g63 engines, but i'm more concerned now on how it affects my ECU and if anyone knows the best way to rewire the ECU or are there special tools or devices that can regulate the sensors without messing too much with the ECU.

Re: 4g63 turbo relpacing 4g63 non-turbo
Since the motor is basically the same layout as the turbocharged 4G63, it is possible to bolt up factory turbo parts from another car. However, with the higher compression, it won't be possible to turn up the boost enough to gain huge amounts of power. Obviously, the compression can be lowered, but it may just be cheaper and less labor intensive to go out and purchase a factory turbocharged DSM.
My friend has done this swap. Make sure you know every thing you will have to buy and do for this. I will see if i can get some info from him...He is overseas right now but i will try. Good luck |
