went to norwalk tonite
yep, at ole norwalk tonite, just got home. there were seriously some BAD ASS cars there.
notables: -ford gto, hugeass slicks, did a three-wheel stand and almost flipped in the middle of the track, then turned and almost slammed into the wall. walked away unscathed. -supra. 650hp, with a t-60 something turbo. ran a 11.3 at 129mph on street tires. -89 240sx. sr20det, built up beyond belief, but still on stock internals. ran a 12.3 at 126mph (with small slicks). yes you read that right, 126mph in a 12 sec time. the thing was amazing, it took off pretty pokey, but the topend was amazing. on that run he was going against some huge muscle car. the v8 just killed him off the line, but all the way down the track the 240 was just freakin flying. and of course, i took out the maxima for the first time. i just got the car 4 days ago, and a new clutch went in yesterday. took it up there with about 150mi on the clutch, and the full stock interior including spare, and a full tank of 90.5 gas (89/92 mix, 18 gal). my two best runs (out of 4) were: [email protected], 2.256 60' [email protected], 2.361 60' im still learning stick.... i was shifting very slow. i figure if i can get the shifting down and the launch, i can hit 14's. and i'll add on an intake and something else to make it scoot a lil more... also on the way home, my friend was driving and we pulled next to his friend's old cutlass, that ran a 15.0. raced about 3 times, all from about 25-45mph rolls. it was no match, the maxima pulled on it every time. a good 1 car length over about 20mph, with every shift jumping ahead further. i got a sleeper on my hands... good night... lots and lots of cars at the track. for under $500, best mods for the maxima? im thinking cold air intake and remapped ecu. i want to keep it complete sleeper, so exhaust/header is out of the question.

Man do you have like 4 different cars or do you just keep different ones I remember you first had a gold 240sx then you had an Altima I think then you had the older big block powered Z now you have a Maxima. Can you not make up your mind???

seriously, i had the 240 for 3 years and just got sick of it. i got the alty to beat on and learn how to drive stick. i thought the z would be cool, but i blew a tranny, had electrical probs, leaks, etc. i fixed everything but i dont want to take any chances... got myself a reliable max for at least a few years now, im not selling it until it dies, i love it Quote:
dude... my f'in memory is going out the door. i knew i was supposed to call someone else, couldn't remember who lot going on lately, and it was a last min go when my one friend said they were going up there in a srt4 in 20min, so i just flew out to meet them and go.if any of you were wondering... the neon ran a 14.2........ with a broken motor mount. broke on the first run right out of the line. i still think those neon's are prone to everything breaking.
