If you get on it when the engine is cold, there is more of a chance of hurting something.... i always let mine warm up once its starts to get cold in the mornings.....

I warm mine 30 sec or so and I dont wot until the engine is warm. Basic common sense.

The technical reason....
When your engine is off alot of the oil travels down from the rest of the block down to the oil pan, stuff also cools and shrinks and may not fit like its supposed to. So when you let the car warm up, your letting the oil circulate and get back up into the cams, bearings and everywhere else its supposed to be, your also letting parts warm up so there clearences are what they should be. Its pretty hard on the engin to turn it on and rev it up. |
