96 G20 keyless entry system

Does anyone know if I can pick up one of those keyless entry remotes they sell on ebay and program it to work with my car??
Mine did not come with it but I have a factory alarm system.

what do you mean by factory alarm? How do you know it's an alarm if you don't have a clicker?

I activate it with the key.
I thought it was kind of odd aswell, but thats what it came with.
Have you seen this type before.

I have a 1999 G20. How did you activate your keyless remote with a Key? Let me know how you did that please
