Question How do you use Mr Dissolved Putty

I picked these up in Hong Kong. Well I can't read the instuctions
The Mr Surfacer is simple, but what do you clean the brushes in. ? Thinners don't seem to work well.

But the Mr Dissolved Putty anyone have any ideas apart from paint on and leave to dry?

Thanks

Re: How do you use Mr Dissolved Putty

Before Mr. Surfacer, modelers used to thin the Tamiya putty with Mr. Thinner to make a liquid putty. Now, people are rich and lazy that Gunze released such items as commercial products.

Anyway, they can be used just like primer, but instead of spray primer, they can be brush painted in local areas, such as seam lines and small modification done by putty. And they should be thinned with Mr. Thinner or compatible thinner.

Re: How do you use Mr Dissolved Putty

I've only been using toothpicks and the like to apply Mr. Surfacer, so I haven't worried about cleaning brushes.

Make sure your stir the Mr. Surfacer well, there's a lot of thick part that separates out to the bottom...

Good question Steve. Picked up a bottle of Mr Surfacer 1000 a couple of days back. Anyone know the difference between the 1000 and 500?

I think the 1000 is finer (smoother finish) then the 500.
You can thin with Mr. color thinner, or Testors Laquer thinner, or automotive laquer thinner. hardware store laquer thinner doesn't work very well as thinner, but is fine for cleaning brushes, airbrushes too.
