I have noticed a lot of eclipse headlights turn yellow after a while, mine being no exception, so I used nail polish remover (acetone) and it took of that yellow nasty film pretty easy.

Ive tried the first soultion with the 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper the outside seems 2 be clean but it looks like it might be on the inside. I no that the headlights are glued together and ive heard of some people putting them in the oven to get them apart and then clean the inside lightly with soap and water then you put it back together. Has anyone done this before cause it doesnt really sound like that good of an idea. Wut temp would u put it on and how long would u cook those bad boyz and wut would u use to glue them back to gether would multi purpose water proof sealent work??????

I have seen people boil the headlight in a big pan and it comes apart easily... i'm not sure of the length of time it was in the water but it worked good.

Re: Dirty Headlights
i just used a hairdrier to crack mine open so i could remove the orange part of the assembly. heat the side away from the blinker slowly and wedge a scwredriver in there. keep heating both sides and slowly applying pressure and it will free up. to put them back together just heat the side with the glue still in it, then place the blinker side in first and close it like scissors, heating the edges so the glue will set again.

Putting them in the oven at about 350 for a few minutes works great. Just make sure you keep checking them every couple minutes, otherwise you'll bake them to death and they'll melt.
Try using Mothers Polish, it works GREAT!!!
