Dirty Headlight lens

I have a 94 3000GT the glass headlight lens have what looks like
condensation water spots and are dirty looking and it is on the inside
it appears it is a 2 piece unit with clips and a sealant holding it together
can they be safely seperated and cleaned and resealed? I have tried
to seprate but was afraid of breaking the lens.
