special tool for ecu pins
Hello all,
I am having the hardest time trying to de-pin the B and C connectors on my car. I've tryed paper clips and a small screw driver, but it seems impossible to remove the pins without damaging the connectors. I called several Honda dealers and none of them have the special pin extractors in stock. I was planning to do a multiport swap this saturday, and i dont want to have to cut any wires at the ecu connectors. Is there any way other than having that special tool to remove the pins? |

Re: special tool for ecu pins
Go to a craft store and buy a sewing needle set. Some needles are big and fat enough that they are strong but still small enough to fit inside the little hole.

Dude...I bought that part...it was about $20...91zc has the Honda part number and I think I do somewhere as well as a contact # at the Honda place I got it from. As soon as I find it, I'll repost.
Edit - I found the honda part number for the ECU pin tool - 07JAZ-002010A I bought mine from Manchester Honda - [email protected] - there are plenty of dudes here that I am sure can give you cheaper alternatives...but here is the original.
