Why the hell would you want to put a RB26DETT in a GTSt? You might as well buy a GTR.
Where do you live?

Swap would cost you more than what a r32GTR would cost from MotoRex.

Ok, Think!
ok buddy. Look, lets say you did get your hands on a GTS (which isnt too bad if you know people). For I'd say around 6500-8000 g's. Now keep in mind that includes customs compliance(most important), US VINS, and EPA compliance as well. If they cannot provide those factors, then be prepared to waste your money. Now lets say you want to drop in an RB26DETT (Racing Built 2598cc Dual cam ECCS {electronic concentrate control system) Twin Turbo). You would have to take out that RB20DE/T engine, trans, ecu, wiring. Then you would have to buy an R32 GTR clip, which you are talking around 5500 bucks. The car would have to be legalized before you swap, due to how much more expensive it is to legalize GTR, than GT-S. So you are talking another 7500 for legalization. Now realistically, do you really want to buy a car that will cost you 21 grand that still wont be running good due to the fact that your LSD cant take the new power, and the simple fact that the engine is not made for that car. Now also take to mind that a 4wd conversion is right next to impossible, but it can be done. So you would have a 300hp engine, in a car that was only supposed to be able to handle around 210. You would be burning your tires through 6th gear, and would stress your trans out in one run. Does that make one damn bit of sense???
. Ok, so if you are really content on getting a GTR. We currently have one for sale for 15000, it isnt legal yet, but we can do that as well. If you would like details, E-Mail me at [email protected]. The car is in Arizona. Peace |

I find that strange? You can legalize it, or you know how to get around the system?

NO! Even if you figure out a way around legalization (for example: Put 240sx VINS on it, and say it is a 240sx) it still wont fly, you would get busted in a matter of weeks! And it is a federal offense. On another note, the company will be an official legalization company in a few months. Note: it takes so long because you must get "a company" (company name will remain unstated) to come out to your facilities and make sure you have all the tools needed to legalize. Then you must legalize three vehicles to US spec (For Example: a few that are allowed are Skyline, Aristo, RX-7, Accord) and then wreck them in front of the supervisers. If they pass, then you can start legalizing JDM vehicles. Now keep in mind that Aristo (GS300/400) RX-7 and Accord are already in the US, so legalization is very simple. So one of the company's that I work for (Night Szevyn Racing, night7racing.com) is soon to be an official legalization company. I work for two others as well. RB Motoring, (rbmotoring.com) which is almost as good as MotoRex. Seeming as the owner worked at MotoRex for years, he even built and raced the official MotoRex car "BIG BIRD" which was an R33 GTR that ran under 10's! And they use a 12000 foot facility to legalize, which is over twice the recommended size. Now the OTHER company (SPEED53) I wouldn't trust with anything... I dont even know why I sell for them. They will not release their RI (Register Importer), they will not talk about US VINS, Customs Compliance, or EPA Compliance... Those three things are needed to get a JDM car in the US, if not, you just got screwed! Their prices are outlandish as well. Anyways I hope that clears up all doubts in any minds. Peace

Re: skyline gt-t or gt-s
Quote:
Legalizing an Aristo, or a RHD RX-7 or accord is not simple as you claim. If you knew anything about legalization, you would know that you can not claim that a RHD vehicle is similar to the LHD vehicle unless the manufacturer states this. And even if a RI was able to legalize a skyline, it does not mean that they can legalize any car they want. Just ask Motorex if they can legalize an Evolution VII... If you really want to learn about legalizing a vehicle, I suggest reading the last few posts from Sean Morris (tyndago) from the Fresh Alloy board: http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...fpart=all&vc=1 Just in case you didn't know, Sean is the guy at RB Motoring who used to work for Motorex. If you really did work for RB Motoring, you would not be on here posting this garbage... nor would you be associated with Speed53 as they are a bunch of scammers who have not proven they can legalize a skyline... http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthre...fpart=all&vc=1 |
