96 GLE shifting rough
I have a 96 Max GLE w/100k miles - runs like a top, but sunddenly started shifting with a clunk betw 1st & 2nd once it's warmed up. I had it scanned and a knock sensor fault turned up (engine lite was on) - independent mechanic said it's probably related - didn't make sense to me - you guys have any comments? All the other gears seem fine; tranny fluid appears clear & red ont he dipstick.....help!!
