RB26Dett Swap ???

I was wondering how hard it would be to put an rb26 skyline engine in a 180sx ?? u rekon it would b hard or just purely stupid haha

Not stupid....sick.

I admit that would be one ILL swap...one of the coolest hybrids ever for that matter but i dont think its really possible 2.6 in a 1.8 chassis would be a tight fit not to mention need for new tranny and power train, rewelding motor mounts etc.

I'm pretty sure i can be done. the 180sx is basicaly the 240, and i've seen a few pages online where people were able to do the swap. just go on google and look for people who have done the swap.

i seen a Rb25det(skyline engine) in a 240sx on ebay before the guy was auctioning it out for 13 thousand it had black racing wheels and the guy who own the car he said that he spent over 20g he said that the car was "Too small 4 him so he can get a bigger car." i seen it 1day ago(january 21, 2004 on wensday) I want a rb26det in a 240sx sebut i don't know which on is the best??? i want to know is what so speceial with the the 1993 se compared to a 97 240sx se. Is there a 240sx SE-R??? i was told it just had to do with the hanlding was better?

In Thailand most of the 200SX Have 2JZ-GTE in Them so i don't see any reason a smaller RB-26DETT won't fit.

HKS themselves did it. It's the HKS 180sx drag car that runs high 6's in the quarter.
